Active English for non-language speakers
Active English is aimed at children aged 6-8 (CE1 & CE2) and 8-10 (CM1 & CM2) who wish to start learning English, or as an ideal complement to their English language learning at school.
Active English workshops are designed around different themes that engage and inspire young learners, motivating their natural aptitude for learning a new language. Through songs, stories, games and creative activities, including art and science, your children will gain confidence in all the basic skills of speaking, listening, reading, writing and interacting in English.
Like all our programmes at SIS Paris Ouest, the Active English workshops are led by native English-speaking teachers who are also experienced in teaching English as a foreign language to young beginners.
Primary Play
Our Wednesday Workshop pupils all take part in our annual Primary Play, performed on the stage at the SEL in Sèvres to the delight of their parents and the SIS community.
Wednesday Secondary School
This lower secondary afternoon programme is a popular option at the SIS for near-native speaking and bilingual students.
Students enjoy exploring literary texts, developing their skills of writing and honing their oral expression with bilingual friends from different schools.
Our Wednesday Secondary programme also includes poetry performance, drama and team building activities, where mixed year groups develop empathy, critical thinking and cooperation.
